1. Who we are

Natha & Co ("we", "us") runs this website (mytapeline.com) and the TapeLine free beta. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact: [email protected].

2. The short version

• The files you open in the free beta stay in your browser. We never receive them.
• We collect your email only when you sign up for the free beta or the waitlist, or when you write to us.
• We use no cookies, no analytics, no advertising or tracking tools, and no third-party scripts or fonts on this website.
• We do not sell your personal data.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the free beta or to give us your details.

3. What we collect and why

Free beta and waitlist sign-ups. Your name (optional), your email address, your confirmations that you are 16 or older and that you accepted this policy and the Terms, whether you chose to receive product news, the date and time, the page you signed up from, and your approximate country (worked out from your connection by our hosting provider). We use this to give you access to the free beta, to contact you about it, to keep a record of your consent and, if you opted in, to send product news and launch updates. Legal basis: your consent and steps you ask us to take, and our legitimate interest in keeping records.

Messages. If you email us, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you and, where relevant, steps you ask us to take.

Technical data. Our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request to deliver the website and to protect it against abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in security and in running the website.

Files you open in the free beta. PDFs and images are read and measured inside your browser. They are not uploaded to us and we cannot see them.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The website sets no cookies and does not use local storage. See the Cookie notice.

5. Who receives data

• Cloudflare, Inc. provides our hosting, domain name service, security protection and email forwarding for our domain.
• Resend delivers the notification email about your sign-up to our inbox.
• The email provider that hosts our mailbox receives the messages you send us.

These providers act on our instructions. We may also disclose data where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

6. International transfers

Our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed outside the United Arab Emirates and outside your own country, including in the United States and the European Union. We rely on the safeguards the law requires for such transfers, such as contractual protections.

7. How long we keep data

• Free beta and waitlist sign-ups, with their consent records: while the beta runs and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, or until you ask us to delete them or you unsubscribe.
• Messages: up to 12 months.
• Server logs: the short period set by our hosting provider.

8. Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), the EU and UK GDPR and similar laws, depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or stop its use, or give you a copy of it. You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before. To use any right, email [email protected]. We reply within one month. You may also complain to the UAE Data Office or to the data protection authority where you live.

9. Age limit

The website and the free beta are for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think a person under 16 has given us their data, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

10. Security

We protect data with HTTPS on every page, strict browser security rules, no third-party scripts, collecting as little data as we can, and two-factor sign-in on the accounts we use to run the website. No system is completely secure. Where the law requires, we will tell you and the authorities about a breach that affects you.

11. Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you by automated means and we do not profile you.

12. Changes

When we change this policy we update this page and the date above. For material changes we will also tell sign-ups by email.
